"State can't be run in whimsical way like Mamata's Railway"

Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee
Kolkata, Mar 27: Ahead of the 2010 Assembly polls, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee criticized her political opponent Trinamool Congress chief and Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee by saying that she is running the railway administration in a "whimsical" way.

Buddhadeb added that he can't run the state in the way the Railway is being run by Mamata. The Left Front leader, who is in his bid to eighth consecutive win, also said that the other six TMC ministers at the Centre are non-performing assets as they have not done anything for the Bengal.

"Railway is being run in a whimsical way. It cannot go on like this. With this kind of administration, the state cannot be administered. Does the state want this kind of administration?" Buddhadeb told the TV channels.

Without much elaboration, Buddhadeb accused that some foreign forces wanted to stall the Left in the country. He also said that CPM had learned a lesson from their defeat in the last Lok Sabha poll.

We have learnt a lesson from our defeat in the last Lok Sabha poll. We have taken up a rectification drive and the process is on. We have cautioned our party workers not to meddle into everything." Bhattacharjee said.
