Assembly polls: Oommen Chandy files nomination

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 26: Congress-led UDF's chief ministerial probable Oommen Chandy today filed nomination for the April 13 Kerala Assembly polls.

The 68-year old former Chief Minister is seeking re-election from his home turf Puthupally Assembly constituency in Kottayam district for the eighth time in a row.

The Congress leader filed papers before Block Development Officer at Pallickelthodu in Pampadi. CPI(M)'s Women's Association leader Suja Susan George is the LDF candidate against Chandy.

Communist Marxist Party leader M V Raghavan filed papers from Nemmara segment in Palakkad district. Sitting MLA V Chenthamarakshan CPI(M) is the LDF candidate against Raghavan.
