The Microsoft's IE9 managed to get more than 2.3 million downloads in just 24 hours after its launch on Mar 15. It was a quite impressive performance by Internet Explorer 9 as it runs only on Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems and doesn't support widely used Windows XP.
Leaving the IE9 records behind, the new Firefox 4 bagged 4.7 million downloads in less than 24 hours after the launch. Mozilla has launched a special website, Mozilla Glow site, which tracks the total downloads of Firefox 4 around the globe. When publishing this article, the number has crossed 5,432,650!
Mozilla launched the stable release of Firefox 4 on Tuesday, Mar 22. The new Firefox 4 has new features like the Awesome Bar, which will automatically completes possible matches from users browsing history, bookmarked sites and open tabs.
