High Court squashes Aarushi's accused parents' plea

Allahabad, Mar 18: The Allahabad High Court terminated the plea of Dr Rajesh and Nupur Talwar over Aarushi and Hemraj dual murder case. The court on Friday, Mar 18 rejected the Talwars' plea and asked Nupur Talwar to to appear before court on Mar 22.

A special CBI court, previously, accused both Rajesh and Nupur as the only accused in the dual murder case. Then a Ghaziabad court upholding the CBI court's verdict, summon the parents to appear before for hearings.

However, Both of them moved the high court challenging the lower court's order of summon.

The investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also, in its closure report, accused Dr Rajesh Talwar as the only accused. Surprisingly, the CBI court, for the first time, raised Nupur Talwar's name as an accused.

13-year-old Aarushi was found dead in their Noida residence in 2008. Their domestic help Hemraj also was found dead following Aarushi's death.

Aarushi's mother Nupur also filed had filed a criminal revision petition in the Allahabad High Court. The petition claims that the CBI had conducted an incomplete investigation into the murder. In her petition, Dr Nupur also mentioned the lose ends of the investigation including touch DNA test was not adopted to build or gather evidence against the accused.
