Murder: After Radhika, students want justice for Monica
Though Delhi police succeeded to arrest the main suspect Ram Singh in the Radhika murder case, Nagpur police is yet clueless about the killers and murder motive. Now, all students gathered seeking justice for Monica.
Thousands of students of different colleges in Nagpur on Saturday, Mar 12 united at a candle-light vigil seeking justice for Monica. While going to attend college classes, 22-year-old Monica was attacked by four men with knives outside KDK Engineering College on Friday.
Once again social networking sites like Facebook showed its power as sources claimed that on the basis of text messages and Facebook, more than 350 students from different colleges decided to participate in the candlelight vigil.
However, Nagpur police like Delhi cops expressed their displeasure when Senior Inspector, Madhukar Borade stated, "It is frustrating when a crowd of 60 or 70 people mutely watches a murder and no one runs to help."
Monica was reportedly laid on the roads and no one came forward to help till a person namely Sumedh Wanjaari noticed her and brought her to hospital. Unfortunately, on the way to hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
However, unlike Radhika murder case, an eye witness came forward with some clue in Monica case. Sources quoted the man as saying, "When I came out, she was lying on the road. The knife was sticking out and two young men were running. I could just see this much."
On Saturday, Mar 12, Delhi Police arrested the main suspect of Radhika murder case. A man namely Vijay alias Ram Singh allegedly killed Radhika over personal vengeance. Ram Singh, as claimed by police, is a mentally unstable person and was stalking Radhika from last three years.
