Protest against 15 women's deaths in hospitals
The women, associated with various social organisations, took out a rally and shouted slogans against the erring doctors and administration for not taking action against those responsible for the deaths due to alleged medical negligence.
The protesters, who later sat on a dharna, also demanded that the degrees of the culprit doctors be declared as void.
They submitted to the collector a memorandum stating their demands in connection with the women's deaths.
Fifteen women died in the last fortnight of Feb in Umaid and M G Hospitals here after developing serious post-delivery complications resulting in profuse bleeding allegedly due to administration of contaminated IV fluid.
The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the government of Rajasthan, asking it to submit a detailed report on the deaths of the women.
