New Delhi
New Delhi, Mar 9: Students of the Delhi University on Wednesday, Mar 9 staged a massive protest to highlight the police's failure to nab the killers of Radhika, who was shot dead in broad-daylight on Mar 8.

She was a second-year student and was shot by an unidentified man outside Ramlal Anand College in Dhaula Kuan's Shantiniketan area.

Unconfirmed reports state that the man was stalking Radhika for quite some time, while others also state that he was a spurned lover. But the family has denied both the claims.

Students today (Mar 9), staged a protest march from the South Campus of Delhi and marched towards the India Gate, demanding better safety and action in Radhika's case. On Mar 8 too, a number of students staged a protest demonstration in New Delhi.

Delhi CM Sheila Dixit, is quoted by the NDTV as saying on Mar 8, "It is a matter of shame for each one of us that the capital city of India is considered the most unsafe city... this is unacceptable to us."

The police who have been unable to make any headway in the matter, suspect that the murder was the handiwork of someone known to Radhika.
