Businessman's son abducted, family receives call for ransom

Indore, Mar 8: A Khandwa-based electronic goods trader's son was allegedly abducted here on Saturday and abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh for his release, police said today (Mar 8).

Police suspected that the abducted youth, Gulshan's Tejwani's three friends were involved in the kidnapping.

Gulshan (21), a student of a private engineering college and living with his friend at a rented flat in the city had remained untraceable since March 5 when he had gone out to purchase medicine but did not return back. His parents subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.

Meanwhile, some unidentified persons have called his family members demanding ransom of Rs 5 lakh from them to secure his safe release, police said.

Gulshan''s friend Anshul who stays with him and the latter's two other friends had also disappeared since the incident and police suspect their involvement in the abduction.

A case of kidnapping has been registered by the police and hunt is on to nab them, police added.
