DroidDream attacks Android; Google pulls apps

California, Mar 2: Most of us consider 'openness' as the biggest advantage on Google Android OS. But, it has now turned to be the biggest threat to use the Android devices. Android maker Google has pulled out more than 20 malware affected apps from Android market.

Various reports claimed that these apps were infected by an Android malware called DroidDream which would secretly access to the personal data of the user. Till now, security experts detected more than 50 apps in official Android Market affected by the DroidDream malware.

The DroidDream affected apps will gather users' personal information and download more codes which may allow other malwares to have access to the device. Security experts asked users, who have downloaded these apps, to replace their devices.

Lookout Mobile Security has listed the affected apps in the Android Market. Here is the list:

* Photo Editor
* Super Ringtone Maker
* Super Sex Positions
* Hot Sexy Videos
* Chess
* Falldown
* Hilton Sex Sound
* Screaming Sexy Japanese Girls
* Falling Ball Dodge
* Scientific Calculator
* Dice Roller
* Advanced Currency Converter
* App Uninstaller
* ????_PewPew
* Funny Paint
* Spider Man

Experts advised users to visit websites they trust on your PC and mobile device and not to enter phone information on suspicious web sites.
