Gurgaon: Sale deeds banned in wildcat colonies
"A sub-registrar will have to give a certificate to this effect that he or she has not registered any sale deed in any unauthorised colony on fortnightly basis", Meena said. He added that he himself would also be conducting random checking of the registered sale deeds.
Earlier, allegations have been made repeatedly that illegal colonies are being carved out by the ruling party leaders in the district.
Meena said that if any officer violated these instructions, he would not hesitate in writing to the government against the officer concerned.
The deputy commissioner is vested with the power to delegate the responsibilities of sub-registrar to tehsildars.
