San Francisco, Feb 28: Finally, technology giant Apple has decided to uncover its much awaited device, the second generation of iPad. Apple has sent out invitations for a special event on Mar 2 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Even though Apple has not yet confirmed the release of iPad 2, the media reported the event as an official release of the new iPad.

After a series of leaks and rumors, Apple iPad2 got an official release date and the media shifted their focus to rumors on Apple iPhone 5. Gadget market is busy with iPhone 5 rumors doing rounds. According to market abuzz, Apple has been planned to luanch the new generation iPhone in Jun 2011.

Like all other rumored gadgets, several technology blogs and websites published specifications, features and even images of Apple iPhone5. Citing a Chinese reseller of Apple parts, 9 to 5 Mac leaked a photo of a digitizer panel for the iPhone 5. The image revealed that the new iPhone will have a bigger screen size, probably 4-inch.

Other rumored iPhone 5 specifications suggest that the device will run on a multi-core A5 CPU powered with a dual-core graphics core. Some other reports added Near Field Communication (NFC) technology on new iPhones. Surely, we can expect these features on new iPhone as these are present on many Google Android smartphones.

Apple has been facing severe competition in handset market with the emerge of smartphones running on Android OS. Also, Apple has to equip itself to meet the challenge of upcoming Nokia smartphones running on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS.
