Karachi, Feb 27 (PTI) Tainted Pakistani cricketers SalmanButt, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir have appealed againstthe bans, imposed on them by the ICC on spot-fixing charges,in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland.
The three players filed their appeals yesterday, theirlawyers said.
Sources close to Asif, who is presently in London, toldPTI that his English lawyer filed the appeal along with Butt.
Aamir, on the other hand, filed his appeal on Friday itself.
"Asif also filed the appeal through his lawyer onSaturday and is in London preparing for the court appearanceon March 17," one source said.
Butt, Aamir and Asif were all given minimum five-yearbans by the ICC''s anti-corruption tribunal for indulging inspot-fixing on Pakistan''s tour to England last year when Buttwas the Test captain.
The trio was given a deadline of 21 days by the tribunalto file appeals against their bans.
The trio also has to appear in a magisterial court inLondon next month to face charges of accepting bribes andtrying to defraud bookmakers after an investigation by theScotland Yard.
