MP Police get warrant to bring Pragya Singh from Mumbai

Dewas (MP), Feb 26 (PTI)Madhya Pradesh Police todaymoved an application in the Judicial Magistrate First Class(JMFC) court here to obtain production warrant to bring SadhviPragya Singh Thakur arrested in Mumbai in connection with theSunil Joshi murder case.

The application was filed in the court of JMFC PadmeshShah by the state police.

The magistrate granting the warrant has ordered thepolice to produce Sadhvi in the court on March 2.

Sadhvi, a key accused in 2008 Malegaon blast case, wasplaced under arrest by Madhya Pradesh Police yesterday for herrole in the murder of Sunil Joshi, a suspect in the SamjhautaExpress blast case.

She has been undergoing treatment at the J J hospitalin Mumbai from where a team of MP police arrested her, policesources said.

Joshi was shot dead in Dewas in Madhya Pradesh onDecember 29, 2007 and his body was found near Chuna Khadanarea under mysterious circumstances.

He was also allegedly involved in the murder ofCongress leader Pyar Singh Ninama near Mhow town in 2003.

Police have so far arrested four persons in connectionwith the Joshi murder case including Harshad Solanki, VasudevParmar, Anand Kataria and BJP Corporator Ram Charan Patel.

The fifth one, Raj is absconding, police said. SadhviPragya is the sixth accused in the case.

Court sources said that she was arrested under section302, 120b and 201 of the IPC.
