Dikshit refuses to comment on Kalmadi''s remarks

New Delhi, Feb 25 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister SheilaDikshit today refused to join issue with sacked CWG OrganisingCommittee chief Suresh Kalmadi who has favoured bringing allthose involved in hosting the event into the ambit of theongoing CBI probe into the alleged bunglings.

"No comments," Dikshit said when her comment wassought on Kalmadi''s remarks yesterday that Dikshit and twoUnion Ministers, should be summoned by CBI which is probingthe allegations of corruption relating to the mega event.

"All those who were involved in organising the Gamesmust be summoned. Why just go after the Organising Committee,"he said when asked if he wanted the Delhi CM as well as formerSports Minister M S Gill and Urban Development Minister SJaipal Reddy to be summoned by the investigating agencies.

Attacking Dikshit for her statements against theOrganising Committee, Kalmadi said, "She said even beforethe investigations started that all scams are in OC. Does thatmean she predetermined all this?"Immediately after conclusion of the Games in Octoberlast year, Dikshit had said the "suspicion" of corruption inthe Commonwealth Games was on the Organising Committee headedby Kalmadi.

Dikshit had said the corruption could have taken placein the activities undertaken by the Organising Committee towhich the Central government had given loans to the tune of Rs1,600 crore.

Two of his close aides -- former OC Secretary GeneralLalit Bhanot and Director General V K Verma were arrested onWednesday by the CBI in connection with alleged irregularitiesin the Rs 107 crore deal inked with a Swiss timing firm. PTIMPB
