Two burglars arrested

New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) Two people, allegedly involvedin several cases of burglaries, have been arrested, policesaid today.

Mahavir, 45 and Charanjeet, 35 -- both drug addict --were arrested yesterday when they were running away withstolen goods from a house in Janakpuri, DCP West District VRenganathan said.

All the stolen items like a watch, a purse and Rs 500were recovered from the possession of accused persons, hesaid.

Their identity was established after testing theirfinger prints by using CRIS net, from which it was revealedthat accused persons were noted criminals of Najafgarh areaand were actively involved in the crime.

Charanjeet was previously involved in cases of theftNDPS Act and illegal arms Act. He was involved in four casesof Inderpuri, Mayapuri, Model Town, Kamla Market.

The accused persons used to target the houses in thebroad day light, especially when the male members of thefamily remain out on the job. Then after noticing they commitburglary, the official said.
