Kolkata, Feb 24 (PTI) Vijay Sundar Prashnath from TamilNadu and Shivika Burman from Bengal were today given the topbilling at the Jute Board National Grass Court tennischampionship, to be held at the Calcutta South Club grasscourts from February 28 to March 5 here.
The club''s president Ranjit Sen said top tennis playersfrom 17 states would take part in the prestigious meet whichwould offer a total prize money of Rs five lakh.
Sen said that while the men�s singles have drawn a totalof 75 entries, the ladies singles will see 46 players inaction.
Tournament director Satyajit Burman said the qualifyingrounds of the meet would be held on February 26 and 27 whilethe competiton for main draw would begin on February 28.
Besides prize money, the participants would also get AllIndia Tennis Association points from this tournament.
