Jamshedpur, Feb 24 (PTI) CWG bronze medallist lifter LMonika Devi and Pratima Devi bagged gold medals in theirrespective categories in the weightlifting event of the 34thNational Games at Tata auditorium, here today.
Monika topped the chart in the 75kg while Pratimadominated the 69kg category as hosts Jharkhand added two moreyellow metals to their kitty.
Monika had a total lift of 226 kgs (snatch 100 kgs andclean and jerk 126 kgs) while Pratima managed a lift of 191kgs (snatch 83 kgs and clean and jerk 108 kgs).
The next best in 75kg category was A Janeshori Devi, wholifted 196 kgs (snatch 90 kgs and clean and jerk 106 kgs) andwas followed by Manipur''s Premila Devi with a lift of 189 kgs(snatch 83 kgs and clean and jerk 106 kgs.
The silver in the 69kg went to Delhi''s K Krishna Kumari,whose effor stood at 183 kgs (snatch 82 kgs and clean and jerk101 kgs) in the 69 kgs class.
Seeta Jena (Orissa) had to content with a bronze aftershe lifted total 171 kgs (snatch 76 kgs and clean and jerk 95kgs).
In the men''s 85kg category, Maharashtra''s ChandrakantMali won the gold medal with a lift of 306 kgs includingsnatch 135kg while Gobind Singh of J&K lifted total 280kg(snatch 130 kgs and clean and jerk 150 kgs) to win silver.
Earlier, Preeshori Devi of Jharkhand had won the gold inthe women�s 58 kgs class while SSCB won two gold, one silverand one bronze.
