Kolkata, Feb 24 (PTI) As a compensation for the scrappingof India-England World Cup match, Eden Gardens will host aTwenty20 International match and an ODI later this year,Cricket Association of Bengal president Jagmohan Dalmiya saidhere today.
BCCI has alloted a Twenty20 International between Indiaand England in September or October. The ODI between India andeither England or West Indies would also be held later thisyear, Dalmiya told reporters.
Dalmiya had written to BCCI Secretary N Srinivasanrequesting him for a Twenty20 and an ODI to the city whichmissed the high-profile World Cup match due to unpreparednessof Eden Gardens.
In his reply, Srinivasan informed Dalmiya about theallotment of the two matches.
