New Delhi, Feb 25 (PTI) BJP today dubbed the RailwayBudget presented by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee as an"election manifesto" for West Bengal Assembly polls which has"ignored" the rest of the country.
"Mamata Banerjee''s rail budget is like an electionmanifesto. The entire focus is on West Bengal, and the rest ofIndia has been totally neglected," BJP General SecretaryAnanth Kumar told reporters here.
Kumar said the railway budget should be scientificallyformulated and should give credence to the regional balanceand development of infratructure all over the country.
CPI National Secretary D Raja said despite certainpopulist announcements, the Budget does not have anythingspectacular.
"It seems to be more ambitious than reality. Nobody ishappy with the Budget. She has not announced any provisionsfor ongoing projects," Raja said.
