Two naxals killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Feb 24 (PTI) Police today claimed to have killedtwo naxals, including a woman, in Bijapur district ofChhattisgarh.

Additional Superintendent of Police BPS Rajbhanu told PTIover phone that the encounter took place in the forest nearDhaarma village, in Bhairamgadh police station jurisdiction.

Naxals opened fire on a patrolling unit of local police,he said.

Two naxals were killed in retaliatory fire, he said,adding that one of them has been identified as Oyami Munna,but identity of deceased woman is not known.

Some firearms and a few cartridges were recovered from thespot, he added.
