Somnath Chatterjee ill, but stable in city clinic
Kolkata, Feb 24 (PTI) Former Lok Sabha Speaker SomnathChatterjee was today shifted to a clinic here after hecomplained of some respiratory problem but the doctors said hewas stable.
"Chatterjee has been admitted to ITU and he is stable,though under observation of the attending doctors," manager(administration) of Belle Vue clinic P K Tondon told PTI.
He said that Chatterjee was comfortable and he was foundtalking to the doctors after admission in the clinic.
Tondon said that Chatterjee (81) was under the treatmentof a team of doctors led by Subrata Maitra.
The expelled CPI-M leader, an asthama patient, complainedof respiratory problem at his Santiniketan residence lastevening, family members said.
He was attended by a team of specialist doctors fromBolpur Hospital and a medical back-up facility was alreadyarranged at his residence.
