Rameshori wins fifth cycling gold

Ranchi, Feb 24 (PTI) Ace rider Rameshori Devi won herfifth gold medal when she along with Sunita Devi Yanglem,Suchitra Devi Konsam and Helen Devi Thockchom won the elitewomen''s 42km road time trial in the cycling event of the 34thNational Games here today.

The Manipur quartet clocked 1:05:17.88 for the titlewhile Kerala''s Deepa Chandran, Mahitha Mohan, Rajani Remananand Kezia Verghese clocked 1:07:59.02 for the silver medal.

Punjab''s Gurpreet Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Rekha Rani andMamta Kumari managed a timing of 1:08:19.31 for bronze.

Rameshori had earlier won four gold medals in sprintwomen, 1500m team TT, 3km team pursuit, 500m TT beside asilver in the Olympic sprint.

Table leaders Services clinched the elite men''s 70km roadTT to add to their rich gold medal haul.

The Services team of Satbir Singh, Sombir Mahala, VinodMalik and Atul Singh had a timing of 1:31:19.88 for the titlewhile Punjab''s Hitraj Singh, Sarpreet Singh, Amanadeep Singhand Harpreet Singh (1::33:20.40) settled for the silver.

Delhi''s Vineet Kumar, Aman Kumar, Arvind Panwar andSachin Kumar bagged the bronze with a timing of 1:35:48.26.
