Mumbai, Feb 24 (PTI) Mercedes-Benz India today enteredthe Vidharbha region with the opening of its dealershipnetwork in Nagpur.
"With establishment of the facility at Nagpur,Mercedes-Benz India now enjoys a network spread across 28cities with over 57 touch-points in India," the company saidin a statement.
Located at the MIDC premises in Nagpur, the dealershipis spread across 43,500 sq ft. The facility will also offerintegrated after-sales and service facility. The company alsounveiled New E-Cabriolet in the city.
"It is our understanding of the Indian customer andmarketplace which convinced us about the potential of Nagpurand its adjoining areas like Bhandara, Chandrapur, Yavatmal,Akola and Amravati," Mercedes-Benz India''s Managing Directorand CEO, Peter Honegg, said.
The luxury car manufacturer has its bus building facilityat Chakan in Pune, spread over 100 acres of land, and hasrolled out 30,000 luxury cars (till December last), Honeggsaid.
The 30,000 mark was achieved within a span of threeyears. The company has also decided to launch Mercedes Benzcoach for inter-city transport. The two axle and three-axlecoach chassis will be offered by Mercedes while body will beassembled by Indian partner Sutlej Motors, he added.
