Hyderabad, Feb 24 (PTI) Four persons, including twominors, were today apprehended for allegedly makingthreatening calls to an Andhra Pradesh Minister and otherpolitical leaders.
Sleuths of Commissioner''s Task Force (North Zone) teamapprehended two priests Polamada Sai Dinesh and RayasamViswanatham along with two others who were responsible formaking threatening calls to State Minister for Handlooms andTextiles P Shankar Rao and several political leaders, TaskForce Deputy Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy said.
Sai Dinesh, who is working as a priest in a temple inKurnool district decided to implicate false cases against hisfather-in-law Gopala Rao, as a case was registered againstDinesh and his parents for harassing his wife physically andmentally, the DCP said.
"As part of this plan Dinesh obtained some SIM cards ofvarious operators after using fake driving license and copy ofration card of Gopal Rao. Through his maternal uncleViswanatham, Dinesh engaged two persons for making threateningcalls to the political leaders with dire consequences," thepolice officer said.
Dinesh also gave the script to the two persons (with thelanguage and the dialogues to be used for threatening) and inthe process made threatening calls to the Minister apart fromBJP''s state president and MLA from Amberpet here G KishanReddy, Majlis-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (MIM) legislator from Karwanconstitutency Afsar Khan and many other prominent politicalleaders of different political parties, Reddy said adding thatfurther investigations were on.
