Kolkata, Feb 22 (PTI) West Bengal government willdistribute 30 plots of land in Salt Lake area through lotteryamong LIG and MIG applicants under group housing orcooperative scheme.
Announcing this here today, state Urban DevelopmentMinister Asok Bhattacharya said the decision was taken aftergetting the green signal of the state cabinet.
Distribution of plots in Salt Lake was suspendedbecause of a litigation in Supreme Court challenging quotasystem in distributing them.
"The case has been disposed of and the stategovernment will distribute the available plots among the LIGand MIG applicants in a transparent way," he said.
Price of the land would be Rs 2 lakh per cottahagainst a lease of 999 years, the minister said.
