Techie''s 2nd wife claims she was oblivious to Anupama''s murder
Dehra Dun, Feb 21 (PTI) A woman, who claims to be thesecond wife of software engineer Rajesh Gulati, today toldpolice she had no knowledge about the murder of accused''sfirst wife Anupama, whose chopped body parts were kept in adeep-freezer for about two months, till the incident came intolight on December 12.
Jhuma Dutta, who arrived here from Kolkata to recordher statement, claimed she came to know about the incidentonly through media as Rajesh did not intimate her of themurder, police said.
She, however, said the accused was in constant touchwith her during the period.
Rajesh, 37, allegedly killed her wife Anupama, 33, onOctober 17 last year and then chopped her into pieces beforestoring it in a deep freezer at his rented house here.
Dutta said Gulati was of aggressive nature and used toget angry on petty things. The accused had told her about hisstrained relationship with Anupama.
A mother of two, Dutta, has been fighting a divorcecase with her husband since 2008 and had asked Gulati todivorce Anupama, if he wanted to continue the relationship,police said. However, Dutta''s 10-year-old son Rishu is notaccepting Gulati as his father, often leading to quarrelbetween the couple.
The murder case came into light when Gulati wasarrested on December 12 after victim''s brother filed acomplaint with the police against him. Anupama''s twin children-- Sonakshi and Siddharsh -- aged 4 are staying with Pradhanever since the case was unearthed.
