New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Libya's Ambassador to India, Ali al-Essawi, resigned from his post on Monday in protest against his government's crackdown on demonstrators.
While resigning, he called for the ouster of long-time Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and accused his government of deploying foreign mercenaries against the protesters.
The Libyan embassy in New Delhi declined to comment when approached this afternoon.
