Mumbai, Feb 21 (PTI) Copra prices tumbled at the spicesmarket here today, due to consistent selling by stockists andtraders amidst subdued demand from exporters as well asmillers.
Apart from sluggish demand, good arrivals of fresh cropat the domestic market too aided bearish sentiments, traderssaid.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai plunged by Rs 200 per quintal toRs 8,200 from last Friday''s closing level of Rs 8,400 andcopra office Kozhikode dropped by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs6,600 as compared to Rs 6,750.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra edible Mumbai declined byRs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,800 and Rs 7,750 respectively,against Rs 6,900 and Rs 7,850 previously.
Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleachedclosed stable in the absence of market moving factors.
