Base metals rise on firm industrial demand
Mumbai, Feb 21 (PTI) Base metals rose at the non-ferrousmetal market here today due to heavy stockists buying coupledwith strong industrial demand on the back of rising trend inLondon Metal Exchange (LME).
Nickel shot up by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,410 from lastFriday''s closing level of Rs 1,390 and tin strengthened by Rs5 per kg to Rs 1,695 as against Rs 1,690.
Copper scrap heavy and copper armature firmed up by Rs 4per kg each to Rs 466 and Rs 454 respectively, as againstRs 462 and Rs 450 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheetscutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheets cutting, allmoved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 475, Rs 503, Rs 446,Rs 311 and Rs 320 respectively.
Lead edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 120.
zinc and copper utensils scrap both inched up by a rupeeper kg each to Rs 135 and Rs 425.
