Chandigarh, Feb 20 (PTI) Japanese electronics majorPanasonic will set up its first "Eco Idea factory" in India atDadritoi village of Haryana''s Jhajjar district at aninvestment of about Rs 1,000 crore.
The factory will be spread over an area of 76 acres andits foundation stone will be laid on February 23, an officialrelease said here today.
The release said the factory will start production withinone year.
In the release, Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda said theNew Industrial and Investment Policy-2011 of the stategovernment has been implemented to ensure holistic industrialdevelopment in the state.
He said that while the Jharli area (Jhajjar) was emergingas a power hub, a world-class medical institute, AIIMS-II, wasbeing set up at Badsa village in Badli constituency of Jhajjardistrict.
Industrial development has become imperative to provideemployment to the people, especially youth, he said.
