Jharkhand top East Zone Vijay Hazare trophy

Agartala, Feb 18 (PTI) Jharkhand defeated Orissa by sevenwickets to top the East Zone Vijay Hazare Trophy tournamenthere today.

Opting to field first, Jharkhand bowled out Orissa for176 and then reached the target with plenty wickets and oversto spare.

Opener Akash Verman top scored for the winners with 49while Saurabh Tiwari and Ishank Jaggi remained unbeaten on 48.

Varun Aron was the pick of the Jharkhand bowlers pickingup three wickets for 32 runs while Kuldeep Sharma took two for22.

Paresh Patel was the top scorer for Orissa with a superb79. For Jharkhand, Y Krishnatry picked up two wickets for 48runs.
