Washington, Feb 18: Guess who is keeping an eye on the Cricket World Cup 2011? It's Uncle Sam, who has said that there is no specific terror threat to the event, but has still urged its nationals to stay alert during their trip to watch the event.

A US travel advisory said, "The Department of State alerts US citizens traveling to or residing in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka to safety and security issues related to the ICC Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in those countries between February 19 and April 2, 2011."

The department observed that the state agencies of the countries that are hosting the World Cup are responsible for the security arrangements. However, the department said that travelers should keep an eye on local news reports and take decisions based on them.

The multi-nation gala event is scheduled to be held from Feb 19 to Apr 02 and will be co-hosted by India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
