Moscow, Feb 18 (Itar-Tass) Russia said it was "indignant"by the decision of the Johns Hopkins University in the UnitedStates to give the floor to former Chechen militant IliasAkhmadov who was an aide-de-camp of killed terrorist warlordShamil Basayev.
"We were surprised and indignant to learn that thedistinguished Johns Hopkins University gave the floor toformer militant who served as an aide-de-camp to internationalterrorist Basayev," foreign ministry spokesman AlexanderLukashevich said yesterday.
"He is a criminal placed on the international wantedlist. Unfortunately, he is still listed in the United Statesas a refugee," the spokesman said. (Itar-Tass)
