Mumbai, Feb 17 (PTI) Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd(MNAL) today unveiled two new commercial vehicles, the 25-tonne Tipper, MN25, and the 40-tonner Tractor Trailer.
"With the introduction of the MN25 Tipper and the MN40tractor trailer, we have entered new segments and furtherstrengthened our range. We are now a full range CommercialVehicle (CV) player. These high performance offerings are setto redefine the existing parameters of power, fuel efficiencyand driver comfort," MNAL''s Managing Director, Rakesh Kalra,told reporters here.
The launch of two new heavy trucks makes MahindraNavistar a full range CV player. With the growing economy,there is a huge demand for commercial vehicles in India,MNAL''s Chief Operating Officer, Nalin Mehta, said.
The MN25 tipper will cost Rs 23.26-lakh and MN40Rs 19.3 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
The company has designed and developed these vehiclesin India with technological assistance from its partner,Navistar, which has over 175-years of trucking experience.
"We are focused on the sales and serviceinfrastructure and filling the pipelines with our products. Wehave already started selling MN25 and MN31 and are receiving avery favourable response from customers. On the network front,by March 2011, we would start business from 45 new dealers, anumber which would be scaled-up to 100 in the next 18-monthsto two-years.
