Ranchi, Feb 17 (PTI) Maharashtra girls finished on toptoday after bagging six gold medals in both the individual andteam competitions of the Rhythmic Gymnastics event in the 34thNational Games here at the Khelgaon.
With 182.80 points, Maharashtra eves emerged on top, withShate Akshata winning three gold medals to become the firstgymnast in this National Games to claim three yellow metals.
After taking gold late last night, today also Akshataalong with her another statemate Kshipra Joshi won two goldmedals each in their rhythmic events.
Akshata won the rope (18.666 points) and the ribbon(19.666) competitions, while Joshi finished first in hoop andball events with scores of 18.116 and 18.533 points,respectively.
However, Akshata finished third in ball (17.583) andJoshi also settled for a bronze in the Ribbon (16.525).
