Mumbai, Feb 17 (PTI) Buddhist spiritual leader, theDalai Lama, will felicitate the founder of coaching centre''Super 30'' that has helped several students from poorbackgrounds crack the entrance exam of Indian Institutes ofTechnology.
Tibetan leader will present a memento to Anand Kumar, thefounder of Super 30, at a function organised here by BiharFoundation, Mumbai, on February 19.
"Dalai Lama will present him a memento on behalf of theFoundation," its spokesperson, Ragini Gautam said.
Kumar, who missed out on an opportunity to go toCambridge University because of financial constraints, set upRamanujan School of Mathematics to help poor children.
In 2002, he started ''Super 30'' programme to providefree coaching, food and stay to under-privileged studentsaspiring to IITs. In the last eight years, over 200 studentsof his have cracked IIT-JEE.
This apart, Dalai Lama will also deliver a publicdiscourse on this occasion. PTI KKP KRK
