APML to hold protests against Musharraf''s arrest warrant
Islamabad, Feb 17 (PTI) Former President PervezMusharraf''s All Pakistan Muslim League party will organisedemonstrations across the country on February 18 to protestthe arrest warrant issued for him recently by a court inconnection with former premier Benazir Bhutto''s assassination.
APML spokesman Fawad Chaudhry, a close aide of Musharraf,told the media that protests will be organised all majorcities of Pakistan and the US and Canada after Friday prayers.
A public meeting will also be held in Peshawar, he said.
An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi last week issued anarrest warrant for Musharraf after investigators named him asan "absconder" in a charge-sheet for failing to cooperate withthe team probing Bhutto''s assassination in 2007.
Chaudhry said Musharraf is likely to return to Pakistanthis year and will take part in political activities.
Musharraf, who has been living in self-exile in Britainsince early 2009, launched the APML as part of his plans toreturn to Pakistan to contest the next general electionscheduled for 2013.
