Absconding Raj minister surrenders before court
Jaipur, Feb 17 (PTI) Rajasthan minister Rajkumar Sharma,who was declared absconding by a local court in 1998, todaysurrendered before the court of Additional Chief JudicialMagistrate and was granted bail.
Sharma, along with MLA Hanuman Beniwal and one VijayDehad, had been declared absconding by the court in a caserelating to blocking a road and beating some policemen duringa students'' agitation in 1997 when he was a student leader.
The case was lodged against them but despite repeatedorders, they never appeared before the court following whichthey were declared absconding.
Sharma, the Minister of state for Medical and Health,surrendered today before the court and ACJM Rekha Rathoregranted him bail.
The other accused Hanuman Beniwal was granted bail in thematter after he surrendered before the court a couple of daysago.
