Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to face DRI's music today
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after he was found in possession of a huge amount of undisclosed cash. The singer, who is extremely popular in India, was released following the surrender of his passport and the involvement of the Pakistan High Commission. He was arrested by the DRI on Monday.
The DRI officials also raided the premises of Eyeline Telefilm and Events, owned by Chitresh Shrivastava, who was also arrested along with Rahat. According to sources, the raid found cash worth Rs 51 lakh and other documents that is believed to help during the investigations.
Rahat was apprehended on his way to Lahore along with his two associates Chitresh Shrivastava and Maroof together and 16 other members of his music troupe. He was found in possession of $1.24 lakh that was unaccounted for.
