TN, Goa register easy wins

Perinthalmanna (Kerala), Feb 15 (PTI) S Badrinath''sbreezy 100-ball 99 helped Tamil Nadu defeat Andhra by 24 runsin the P Subaiah Pillai Cricket Tournament here today.

Put into bat, Tamil Nadu scored 300 for 8 in theirallotted 50 overs. Besides Badrinath, R Satish hit a quickfire76 in just 53 balls with the help of 10 fours and a six.

For Andhra, M Ajaykumar scalped 4 for 75.

In reply, Andhra were 276 all out in 45.1 overs. V Lenintop-scored with an unbeaten 65 off 68 balls while Shankar Rao(45) and V Manoj Sai (27) were the other main contributors.

In another match at Palakkad, Goa surprised Hyderabadwith a seven wicket win.

Goa''s Rohit Asnodkar struck 74 in 85 deliveries, witheight boundaries and a six.
