PM to restructure Cabinet after Budget Session
New Delhi, Feb 16 (PTI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singhtoday made it clear that he would go for a "restructuring" ofhis Cabinet soon after the Budget Session of Parliament.
"I have said that after the Budget Session ofParliament is over, there will be a restructuring, reshuffleof the Cabinet and I hope I will get back to that task oncethe Budget Session is over," he told editors of the electronicmedia here.
He was asked whether he would ''at all'' go for a majorreshuffle.
After the first reshuffle of his ministry on January19, the Prime Minister had said that he would go for a "moreexpansive" exercise after the Budget Session which concludeson April 21.
In the reshuffle, Singh had not dropped any of theministers but had changed portfolios of several of them inorder to give a fresh look to his government facing a seriesof scams.
There have been ministerial hopefuls from almost everystate and in spite of the exercise, three states --Chhattisgarh, Goa and Manipur -- still have no representationin the Union Council of Ministers.
