New Delhi, Feb 15 (PTI) Indian captain Mahendra SinghDhoni has reportedly come under scanner of the InternationalCricket Council for breaching its ambush marketing clause forthe World Cup which begins from February 19.
According to sources, the ICC has dashed off a letter toBCCI pointing out that a recent commercial Dhoni had featuredin could be in breach of its ambush marketing laws.
The ICC had written to chief executives of all thenational boards reminding them of the need for strictadherence to the ambush marketing clause.
"Any squad member that knowingly or unknowingly breachesthe squad terms may face sanctions ranging from financialpenalties through to being excluded from continuedparticipation in the event," ICC had said in a memo.
Earlier this month, four Indian cricketers led by SachinTendulkar had met the BCCI President Shashank Manohar on thisissue. Dhoni apparently took part in the meeting viateleconference.
