CM threatens to expose alleged misdeeds of oppn leders

Bangalore, Feb 16 (PTI) Karnataka Chief Minister B SYeddyurappa today slammed Congress leaders charging them withmaking "baseless" allegations against him and threatened toexpose alleged misdeeds committed by opposition party leaders.

"Let Congress leaders debate scandals of my government inParaliament, BJP members will give them a befitting reply",Yeddyurappa dared while speaking to the press here on hisreturn from New Delhi.

The Congress leaders have been making wild allegationsagainst his government to taint its image, he alleged.

A report by Lokayukta on illegal mining recommended forrecovery of Rs 36 crore from former Chief Minister N DharamSingh, he said and asked "did Congress take any action againstthat leader ?"

Yeddyurappa also hit out at allegations of filing falseaffidavit levelled against him by former Chief Minister SBangarappa and posed "can anyone do this ?(filing of falseaffidavit).

He said he visited Delhi to invite Prime Minister ManmohanSingh for the upcoming World Kannada Literary Conference beingheld at Belgaum from March 11, but could not meet him.

He said he would discuss the issue of his cabinet expansionwith BJP President Nitin Gadkari who would be in the city onFebruary 20 and 21.
