But there is still good news on the anvil. Bryan Adams will indeed be performing for the NGO Save the Children foundation. The foundation will get a major impetus with the concert that is sure to blow the fans away.
The foundation is run by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty's wife. Sunil has been quoted as saying on the occasion, "He's (Bryan's) definitely coming back to Delhi. We won't disappoint his fans. I didn't know Bryan before he came to India for the current concerts. He's a really chilled-out guy. Truly 18 forever at heart. No one was shedding tears over the cancelled concert."
His Delhi concert was canceled following the non-receipt of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from police and other officials. There were also reports that tickets were over-sold than the actual capacity of the venue.
The latest news on Adams' concert will bring some cheer to distressed fans. Shetty who is in the helm of affairs for the NGO added, “We're in the process of setting a new date for the Delhi concert. Bryan performs in Hyderabad. Then he heads for Bangladesh and Nepal. We'll set a new date for Delhi concert as soon as he finishes his other commitments."
Sunil Shetty also tried to portray the positive side of things and said, “Looking at the positive side of the fiasco, good that the rains happened before the Delhi concert. Imagine if it had happened during the concert. All of Bryan's musical equipment would've been destroyed. It isn't such a loss, really. We will set a date for the Delhi concert at the earliest."
