Border sees no role for Krejza in World Cup

By Pti

Melbourne, Feb 16 (PTI) Jason Krejza is the onlyfrontline spinner in the Australian World Cup squad but formerTest skipper Allan Border does not see much of a role for himin the side.

Border favours inclusion of fast bowling all-rounder JohnHastings in the side although the sub-continent pitches helpslow bowlers.

In the warm-up match against India on Sunday, Hastingshad taken two wickets at the expense of 24 runs in six overswhile Krejza scalped one while giving away 56 runs in hisquota of 10 overs.

Border feels Australia should focus on a fast bowlingattack with Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Tait beingthe main bowlers.

""I''d probably go Johnny Hastings initially, with (Doug)Bollinger as cover if one of the three quicks aren''t going attheir best," Border said.

"Dave Hussey can bowl some spin, (Shane) Watson can bowlsome medium pace and Clarkey (Michael Clarke) can bowl somespin. So maybe Krejza''s the odd man out there and it will justbe a pace-bowling barrage with the part-timers to throw insome overs. I wouldn''t mind having Krejza in the 12," Bordertold Fox Sports.

Off-spinner Nathan Hauritz was ruled out of the World Cupdue to injury.
