Hyderabad, Feb 16 (PTI) BJP President Nitin Gadkari andsenior party leader L K Advani would address NDA''s publicrally here tomorrow against the Central government,highlighting the issue of corruption.
The massive public meeting christened "War againstcorrupt Congress" is being organised by BJP Andhra Pradeshunit at the Nizam College grounds here.
Besides, Gadkari and Advani, NDA convenor Sharad Yadav,Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Leader ofOpposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, Leader of Oppositionin Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitely are other prominent leaders, whoare likely to attend the rally, State BJP President G KishanReddy told reporters here today.
Condemning the city police for denying permission forholding the public meet, Reddy said the party had to finallyapproach the High Court for it.
Reddy said the police denied permission on the pretextthat the Assembly would be in session from tomorrow but theparty had applied for permission well in advance before thegovernment took decision to convene the AP assembly session.
Inspite of High Court''s permission, police was creatingobstacles and not allowing party workers inside the ground formaking arrangements for tomorrow''s meet, he alleged.
Reddy warned that the state government will have to faceconsequences if police tried to prevent party workers comingfrom various districts tomorrow for the BJP-led NDA rally.
Criticising UPA for indulging in scams, Gujarat MP andnational Vice-president of BJP, Purushottam Rupala, said NDAallies have launched an agitation against the corrupt Congressgovernment to create awareness among people.
Rupala is also Andhra Pradesh state affairs in-charge.
