MWC 2011: Sony Ericsson unveils Xperia Play
The most exciting feature of this new gaming phone is that it lets the user access the PlayStation games through the PlayStation Suite available on this phone. This is an initiative to port PlayStation content, develop and certify content to Android based portable devices. This new Sony Ericsson handset has a four-inch capacitive multi-touch display that supports FWVGA 480x854 pixel resolution.

Xperia Play is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and boasts of a slide-out gaming pad that has action buttons, selection buttons, a directional pad and a touch pad. This new phone is an unique gaming smartphone that provides maximum entertainment to its users.
The phone also features Adreno 205 GPU and TimeScape UI. Xperia Play also offers 3D gameplay at 60 frames per second. It also boasts a 5.1-megapixel camera with autofocus situated at the rear. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will be available in two colours, Black and White. This new gaming phone will hit selected markets by Mar 2011. Sony Ericsson has not yet announced the price of this smartphone. We can expect Xperia Play in Indian market by the Q2 of 2011. Some sources have revealed that it will be priced around Rs 30,000.
