Sporadic incidents of violence mark 12-hour NDFB called bandh
Kokrajhar/Udalguri, Feb 15 (PTI) Sporadic incidents ofviolence marked the 12-hour bandh called by the NDFB(ceasefire group) which paralysed normal life in Assam''sBodoland Territorial Administered Districts (BTAD) today,official sources said here.
Bandh supporters resorted to violence and damaged abus injuring the bus driver besides damaging three cars inUdalguri district.
In another incident, unidentified miscreants openedfire at an engine of a goods train between Rowta and Udalgurirailway stations disrupting rail traffic in the section.
Vehicular traffic was also disrupted on NationalHighways 31 and 52 as bandh supporters blocked the road.
The bandh has been called by the ceasefire group ofthe outfit demanding immediate talks and resolving of allissues related to the Bodoland districts at the earliest. PTICOR DG RG
