MNS submits truckload of applications for railway recruitment
Mumbai, Feb 15 (PTI) After calling on Marathi youth togive a shot to railway recruitment examination, MaharashtraNavnirman Sena (MNS) activists today took a truck full ofapplications to the railway authorities for submission.
"We submitted 1.38 lakh applications to the railwayauthorities today," said Atul Sarpotdar, President ofMaharashtra Navnirman Railway Sena (MNRS).
Alleged sidelining of Marathi youth in the railway andother government recruitment has been MNS''s chief agitationplank.
Party chief Raj Thackeray had initiated a drive earlierthis month, appealing Marathi youth to appear for the railwayexam. The party even distributed a handbook on how to apply,alongwith some seven lakh application forms.
Not wanting to be left behind, Shiv Sena too announcedthat it would organise coaching for railway examination.
Western and Central railway have sought applications forover 10,000 posts.
