two football matches suspended in National Games

Jamshedpur, Feb 14 (PTI) A dispute over the affiliationof Tripura''s football team led to the suspension of twomatches in the 34th National Games here today.

The matches between Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu and Haryanaand Orissa were suspended after it came to light that theTripura team, which has come for the event, is not affiliatedto the All India Football Federation.

The organisers then decided to suspend the matches toensure that the Games'' scheduling is not affected.

The organisers are currently huddled in a meeting to workout a solution.
